Lightweight Exposure Suit
Materials Used
The outershell material for the jacket and trouser shall be a waterproof and moisture vapor permeable constructed with a 100% nylon shell fabric W.L. Gore GORE-TEX Paclite laminate, or equal. The shell material shall be waterproof and windproof. The outershell material shall be quick drying when it become wet or damp and shall be durable to repeated launderings.
Concept of Use
The lightweight exposure jacket and trousers are designed for wind and rain protection in mountain conditions.
Description of Item
The jacket and trouser shall comply with Propper International Product number F740187929 for the jacket, product number F720187929 for the trouser using W.L. Gore GORE-TEX Paclite.
Jacket
The hood shall be attached and stowed in the collar, it shall not cause discomfort to wearer, and shall remain stowed until opened for use. The jacket shall have sleeve pockets with pocket flaps that lie flat without curling edges and remain secure. The sleeves shall have elasticized wrist openings with hook/loop tabs to adjust comfortably around wrist. The underarms shall have pit zips to allow for venting. The jacket shall have an attached rank tab on the front.

The trouser center front waist closure shall be a durable and easy to fasten the snap, with and an elasticized waist drawcord with barrel lock (ITW Nexus part #350-3000 or equal) for easy adjustment, to the body, with gloved hand. The side seam pass through openings, with welts, shall allow direct access to trouser side pockets. The openings shall be secured closed with hook and loop at each end of the welt. The elasticized trouser hem with hook/loop tabs to adjust comfortably around boot upper.
