Level IV: Wind Jacket
Materials Used
The jacket is constructed with nylon spandex. The nylon spandex fabric offers excellent stretchablity and has a water resistant finish.
Concept of Use
The jacket is designed to act as a low volume shell layer in transitional environments to provide wind and sand protection, optimizing the performance of moisture wicking along with insulation layers when combined with body armor or the Army Combat Uniform.
Description of Item
The jacket features angled chest pockets with mesh lining to aid in ventilation while wearing body armor. It is also constructed with Velcro closure sleeve pockets as well as elasticized cuffs and loop fasteners to attach rank badges and name plates.
